On New Year’s Eve, we celebrated the dawn of a new year – and a Florida State football win! – with some friends and fun … and food, of course. :) Our friends brought chips, salsa, and other appetizers, and we supplied the homemade pizzas (one peach-blue cheese-shallot, one good old fashioned “pepperoni”) and dessert (a peach-blackberry cobbler in the Crock-Pot).
The dessert didn’t last the night, but with two pizzas, we were bound to have leftovers! And as we enjoyed leftover “sausage”-egg casserole this morning for brunch, we heated up the remaining pizza this evening for dinner. I tossed a salad to round out the meal, and a hearty dinner was ready. I wish every meal could be so easy!
